Start short, on purpose
A first lock is not a test of how long you can last. It is how you learn what locked life is like for your body, your routine and your head. People who aim for a month straight away often stop on day three and feel they failed; people who aim for three days usually reach it and choose to keep going.
The seals on chastity.report are spaced for exactly this: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 and 13 days come quickly, then they spread out. Pick the next seal as your target rather than a round number, and let each one decide the next.
Day 1 is the day you lock
Start the lock on the day you put the cage on. Day 1 counts even if you locked in the evening, so an evening start is fine. If you set a planned end, it is a line you can move, not a promise to anyone but yourself, unless you choose to give that to a keyholder later.
What the first week is usually like
The first two or three nights are the most noticeable: you will likely wake up more than usual, and it can feel tight when it does. That settles for most people within a week. Arousal often rises for the first few days, which is part of the point for many and a surprise for some.
Expect to adjust things. A cage that felt fine for an hour can rub after a day. Write down in the day's note what was uncomfortable and when; by the end of the week you will know whether it is the fit, the routine or simply new.
One minute each evening
The habit that keeps a lock going is small: log the day each evening. Caged all day, part of it or not at all, what happened, and how horny you have been. It takes under a minute, and on a quiet day the Hold to log button does it in one press.
Logging honestly matters more than logging perfectly. A day you took it off is still a day logged, and the reason you give stays in your journal only. Your log streak counts evenings logged, whatever they say, and a shield covers an evening you forget.
When to stop
Stopping early is not failing. Take the cage off straight away for pain, numbness, a change in colour or swelling, and do not wait for a seal first. End the lock when you want to, look at what the days told you, and start the next one when you are ready.
Your first seal is one day away. Everything after that is yours to choose.
All the best, Erik
