Sharing and keyholders

Inviting your keyholder, or somebody to read along

Making an invite link, what a keyholder and a reader can each see and do, and how long the link lasts.

Updated

Making the link

Sharing is part of Plus, and needs a username. On Sharing, choose keyholder or reader, give them a name only you see, and tick what they may see. Send them the link it makes. They need a ClackID account, not a journal of their own.

Keyholder or reader

You have one keyholder at a time, and any number of readers. A keyholder holds your key, but every power starts off: they can set your planned end, set tasks and leave notes, or build training packages with you only if you tick it under What they may do. A reader sees what you switch on and holds no key.

The link

Each link works once and lasts seven days. Opened before signing in, it shows the role and what they will see, but not your username. Sharing says Opened, not accepted yet once they have looked.

You can change their switches, hand the key to somebody else, pause them or stop sharing at any time.

Where to ask

Usually answered within two days. A person reads every one.
